- Toronto, Canada
Sarah Friedlander has over 7 years of experience working in the film and theatre design industry. She studied costume design at Pratt Institute in New York and completed a graduate degree in Digital Technology and Design Art Practice at Concordia University in Montreal. She also recently completed the CAFTCADEMY 101 course in Toronto.
She has developed and built costumes for a number of stage productions including: Equus, The Wizard of Oz, The Nutcracker, The Seventh Seal, Peer Gynt, Peleus and Thetis, and Mixed Company Theatre's original productions Half Full and Shelf Life. She has also worked as a wardrobe assistant; building custom costumes, sourcing and coordinating competitor wardrobes, and set and truck supervising, for Insight Production's Big Brother Canada 4, CBC's Canada's Smartest Person 3, and CBC's The Goods. Sarah is currently working as a wardrobe assistant for a new children's show called Massive Monster Mayhem and she will begin her second season with Big Brother Canada at the end of February.
When she's not working, you'll probably find Sarah singing random songs at the top of her lungs, cycling around Toronto, playing obscure board games, and redecorating her apartment (with Craigslist finds, of course!).
